Our safety program is designed to meet legislative requirements and exceed industry standards. We provide our employees with the training, knowledge, and support they need to perform their duties safely and confidently.

A Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Our full-time certified HSE Auditor, who also holds NHSA certification, oversees our health and safety program. Our policies, procedures, and training requirements are regularly reviewed to reflect changes in legislation, industry practices, and the needs of our customers.

Safety Credentials Our Customers Can Trust

Cardium Vac is COR certified, achieving a score of 97% on our 2025 audit. We are also proud to maintain our membership in the Alberta Carrier Excellent Safety Program (ACES). We maintain compliance with ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, and other supplier management platforms, making it easier for customers to review our safety qualifications and contractor requirements.

Employee Training

Our drivers are required to complete core safety training, including:

  • H2S Alive

  • First Aid/CPR

  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)

Additional training is provided based on job duties and site requirements, including:

  • Confined Space Entry and Rescue

  • Fall Protection

  • Hazard Assessment and Identification
