Cardium Vac Services Ltd. has expanded over 30+ years to a company that employs over 50 full time employees. The majority of our employees have been with Cardium for more than 2 years and we have employees who have been with us for more than 10 years.
Owner; Kevin Knight founded Cardium in 1983 and is responsible for the continued growth and ventures of the company.
Cardium Vac Services Ltd is a well-established company that has withstood the oil & gas market trends.
We have eagerly grown into the largest locally established company providing this type of service. We provide services to some of the largest oil & gas companies in the Yellowhead County area with pride.

Daryl Parkhurst has been with Cardium Vac for 3 years and has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Daryl has had key managerial positions with multiple industry leading companies and specializes in operations and business development. He prides himself on his customer service and has had clients follow him throughout his growth in the industry. He values honesty and loyalty in dealing with his clients and strives to always surpass their expectations. Cardium Vac is proud to have him overseeing all departments within of our organization.
HSE ManagerEfrem Proulx (NCSO) has been with Cardium Vac Services Ltd since March 2014. Efrem has a vast amount of knowledge/education as well as certifications. With over 19 years of experience in safety with oil & gas Efrem does a superior job keeping our HSE Department current as well as ensuring that our employees are up to date with all the requirements that enable them to work safely. Efrem has worked to become a Gold Seal certified safety professional as well as a COR Auditor. As of 2018 Efrem proudly retains a position on the PIC Advisory Council.
Shop ManagerSteve Pettie has been with Cardium Vac Services Ltd for over 20 years. Steve manages our Mechanic Shop which consists of 8 maintenance bays, Red Seal Certified Heavy Duty Technicians, Apprentices, Parts Dept. with parts technician and a 2 bay Fabrication Shop and welder. Steve ensures that our fleet is well maintained and meets/exceeds safety requirements. Steve tracks our preventive maintenance electronically.
Office ManagerRachel Scott assumed the position of Office Manager in 2017. Prior to that Rachel had been working in Cardium’s office for over 6 years. She has completed courses in accounting as well as business law and continues to educate herself on relevant subjects whenever possible. Rachel overlooks the administration team, which consists of the accounts receivable and accounts payable department as well as reception. She also works closely with the safety and operations management helping to keep the company running smoothly.
